CBS Pilot Hawaii Five-0 Brings On New Actor
Another starlet joins the celeb-filled cast of the new CBS pilot remake, Hawaii Five-0. And not just any starlet — two time Emmy nominated Jean Smart.
Kind of annoying for the up-and-coming actors out there without twenty years of film credits, but we digress. At least the acting will be awesome, since CBS seems to be equally concerned with the rock-hard bikini bodies on the slab, as well as talent.
The new version of Bo Derek originator Five-0 (cast by Lisa Beach & Sarah Katzman) focuses on a premiere section of Hawaii State Police, which will answer to the new “honest governor” character that will be played by Smart.
Amazing that in the past 40 years, women have been replacing more and more of these political figures in prime time television. The original governor in Five-0 was played by Richard Denning.
But as we’re saying more and more these days — sorry newbie actors! Another tried-and-true award winner has booked the job.
