The bastard child of “Dracula” and “The Breakfast Club,” with a lot more blood, and music. There’s sex, rocket propelled grenades, and piss made of holy water. There’s also a ghost vampire, or vampire ghost. Interchangeable terms? I don’t know.

Fans of horror and teen comedies will see a raucous and laugh out loud pairing of the genres in Ghost of Dracula. With a unique young voice at its helm (age 21), the show makes even school yard death threats and hard drug addictions hilarious. It opens Friday the 13th for a reason!

The Ghost of Dracula lives, rising from the ashes of his demise like a phoenix. That is, if a phoenix were the most heinously evil force to ever set foot on God’s Earth, determined to take over the world one Transylvanian High School at a time. Nytheatre.com says the show “deserves an award for most appropriate use of multimedia and funniest incarnation of Dracula yet.” New York theater goers are screaming, “Yes please!” for Ghost of Dracula.

The gregarious 12 year old talks candidly to ActorBean about life, pursuit, and method:

What sparked your passion for acting?  The first thing you remember that kind of said — “that’s it, that’s what I want to do?”
I was seven and I was watching a Disney show, I don’t remember which one, and I was like “That seems like a lot of fun. That’s what I want to do.” So then I went to my Mom, and I said, “Mom I want to be an actor.”  And she said, “OK, if you’re going to stick with it.  Let’s give it a shot.”  And now I am out here, living my dream.

Are you in a regular school program?
Actually, I’m home schooled, and it is a lot of fun, even though I miss out on a lot of the perks of being in a regular school. It’s a sacrifice, but it is completely worth it.

How do your classmates feel about your career?
Most of my friends are actors, too. But when we hang out, we never talk about acting. It is just something we do.

How do you juggle being “a kid” and being an actor at the same time?
Well, you take each in moderation.  Maybe some days, you don’t have any auditions. Those are the days you take to just be a kid and play video games, hang out and have fun.  Whereas, other days you devote the day to acting, and I try to see if I can relax at the end of the day.  Some days I’m too excited to relax.  Other days, it’s like “Finally, it’s over.”  You take a deep breath and say, “What a successful day.” You feel like you got a lot accomplished on those days.

How many hours a week do you spend working on your career?
24, no 52, or something like that. I really don’t know, because it differs.  Some days I have one audition.  Other days I have five auditions. And classes and such, I have two, Margie Haber’s and Cynthia Bain’s. I mainly coach just for auditions, two or three times a week.

Have you ever studied a “Method”?
No. I find the backstory and figure out what my character is feeling. I learn about character relationships. I practice the scene many different ways, because it is important to go greater in depth with the character.

What’s the most amazing project you’ve ever worked on?
HOUSE.  I played an autistic boy named “Johnny”. I got to work with Hugh Laurie, Lisa Edelstien and Kal Penn.  They were really nice.

What’s the best advice you’ve been given as a young performer?
Keep living your dream. Any advice from a celebrity? Never, never, never, never give up. That was said by Winston Churchill.

If you weren’t an actor, what would you want to do?
Music. I play the guitar, mandolin, piano, cello and sing. I’m in a rock band, “Wye”.

What’s the “ultimate goal”?
To touch the hearts of my audience with my truthful performances.

What can we see you in next?
I will be appearing in Columbia Pictures’ BAD TEACHER in 2012 with Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake, and starring in the THE BOARDER in 2011, an independent film about a boy with Reactive Attachment Disorder.

Thousands of fans across America gathered their idiocy and went to the ‘Twilight at Midnight’ events held by Barnes and Noble and other literary institutions that are seeing a downturn in readership, and thus have forcibly begun lowering themselves to disconcertingly pathetic commercial standards.

The turnout was mostly teenage girls between the ages of 11 and 18, and gay men between the ages of 35 and 50.

Fans also got a bonus at certain locations, where the lesser known stars who aren’t disenchanted by fame yet actually showed up in person. Characters such as Justin Chon (Eric), Michael Welch (Mike), and Christian Serratos (Angelea) were in attendance.

“Stewart was too busy smoking a doobie to show up for the fans that made her famous,” says a source. The theorizing is unconfirmed, but it’s also not unlikely.

Summit Entertainment, naturally is thrilled. The popularity of New Moon is beating the original film by a landslide, and the deafening shrill yelling of schoolgirls and middle-aged men alike is only increasing with the impending June release of Eclipse.

Realizing that Megan Fox’s stripper lips are not alluring the same crowd that used to, and her acting chops are virtually non-existant, Michael Bay has brought on a few “veterans” to level out the lack of actual performance.

Frances Mcdormand and John Malkovich have just signed deals to star in two exceptionally large roles. The pre-production on Transformers 3 starts next week in Los Angeles, and will extend to Chicago, Washington DC, Florida, Texas, China, Moscow, and Africa.

A company that was founded by the filming of Stupid Young Things was never more aptly named.

“Fake Empire”, a new production company helmed by The O.C.’s Josh Schwartz, and Gossip Girl’s Stephanie Savage, has just been formally birthed.

The team, who desired a ‘branching out’ of sorts, but are still strategically retaining ties to Warner Brothers in case they fail miserably, will be aiming to create television episodics, web content, and features that appeal to a “contemporary youth” demographic.

In other words, younger and younger actors getting topless for that juicy Guest Star Who Screws the Lead casting notice.

“It’s about collaborating on a shared vision and trying to connect with an audience,” states Savage. The only thing we’re guessing will be ‘connecting’ in any of these Fake Empire projects is a bunch of adolescent skin on skin.

Only a few hours ago, as Los Angeles casting directors were pulling at their hair extensions and Chace Crawford was wondering why he and his dimples had to screentest in the first place, the character “Steve Rogers” was found.

After weeks of deliberation, the final offer has been made to actor Chris Evans.

Now, it’s not totally uncommon for a large casting search to be done on a role as pivotal and big-budget as this — but holy crap, this one was stretched to an eye-rolling breaking point. The Fantastic Four star has been given the paperwork, and now it’s just down to Evans signing on the dotted line.

We’re not entirely sure we buy pretty boy Evans to play this title role, but we’re willing to give him a shot. Certainly better than Ryan Phillippe… or the ridiculous ball of bad acting that is Channing Tatum.

Whoa, NBC is actually picking up a soap. I guess the network is a fan of underproduction… or just gets weepy eyed when Candy and Lance find their third estranged baby in the fake-treed set jungle.

Days of Our Lives has been going strong (for a soap) and is now in its 45th season. Even though CBS has been tossing these programs away like they’ve been afflicted with gout, NBC thinks that Days has had certain increases in female-demographic viewers. Baby boomers?

Originally, the soap was a half hour show back in 1965, but doubled to an hour for those naughty houseweives in the mid-70s. Now, it’s the second most popular daytime drama for the YOUNG female demographic of 18-34.   Is the economy forcing more twenty-something women to stay home and microwave popcorn while watching Soapnet?

Whatever the reason, Days has seen a whopping 10% increase in audience viewing in the past 12 months (well, according to Nielsen anyway)… and has officially been given another year on Network Life Support.

With all of the agency switching, turn-coating, and insane bouncings-around between CAA, ICM, and William Morris Endeavor… the “fat kid” on the celebrity playground, Paradigm, finally decided to step into the action.

The bicostal big-star-ish agency has signed on Taraji P. Henson and Bobby Moresco (an actress and screenwriter respectively). Henson was an Oscar nominee for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button last year, so it’s about time she gets some decent agency representation.

Henson will also star with Steve Carell in Date Night, as well as with Julia Roberts in the new film Larry Crowne by Universal.

Higgins was a writer/producer for Crash, and is presently producing a film called Castro’s Daughter for Universal Pictures. He’s hoping to potentially get into directing, now that he has a fat cat agent on his IMDB.

The two new upfronts were formerly with UTA.

Books of the Beginning, a trilogy slash “young adult” series by the former producer of the CW Gossip Girl series (John Stephens), has been acquired for roughly $800,000 today. Knopf Chidlren’s books was the purchaser.

Are we REALLY supposed to believe “Books of the BEGINNING” (key word there) remotely classifies as a children’s series? The dude who wrote it had a direct hand in the sordid comings and goings (pun intended) of Blake Lively and the gang… and while we’re kind of appalled by this additional moral-grinder being infused into our future children’s public school summer reading… we can’t say we’re surprised.

Apparently Beginning is supposed to be far “tamer” than GG, and is set in upstate New York where some orphans escape and run around trying to find the “book of time”. UTA has already bought the movie rights.

What’s it for, you ask? PRINGLES. Yes. Brad Pitt + The 80s + Crunchy Goodness.
